Designed Beyond the Surface

Porcelain can become more than a countertop or isolated surface. With large format slabs, material can move across multiple elements of an interior, creating visual continuity and a stronger architectural language.

From statement kitchen islands and full height backsplashes to bathroom vanities, fireplaces, furniture, feature walls, and custom architectural details, Sapienstone and Dolcissima allow designers to approach porcelain as part of the complete space.

The collections explore the visual language of marble, natural stone, cement, wood, and contemporary colors while offering the consistency and versatility of porcelain surfaces.

Why Sapienstone & Dolcissima?

Large format porcelain allows designers to create greater visual continuity across surfaces, reducing visual interruptions and allowing the material to become an intentional part of the architecture.

From marble inspired movement to stone, concrete, wood, and contemporary monochromatic expressions, the collections provide a wide range of visual languages for different design concepts.

Porcelain surfaces can extend beyond traditional applications into kitchens, bathrooms, furniture, walls, fireplaces, shelving, and architectural details.

The combination of Sapienstone and Dolcissima provides access to both an Italian rooted porcelain program and an American made large format offering, creating additional flexibility for project specifications and availability.

Design That Extends Through the Material

Sapienstone 4D Ceramics

Sapienstone’s 4D Ceramics technology carries veining, color, and decorative details through the thickness of selected porcelain surfaces. This full body continuity creates a more integrated appearance from surface to edge and expands possibilities for exposed profiles, waterfall islands, furniture, and distinctive architectural details.

Design Collections & Visual Language

Sapienstone approaches porcelain as part of a broader interior design language. Its collections explore the relationship between material, color, texture, proportion, and architecture. The Dress Code Collection, developed with designer Jaime Beriestain, explores how ceramic surfaces can create a coordinated visual language across worktops, walls, furniture, and architectural elements. Dolcissima complements this design approach with a broad portfolio of American made large format surfaces, including marble inspired, stone inspired, concrete, and contemporary aesthetics.
