Go To color for painting a kitchen:

Wall colors really depend on what you’re going to do with your cabinetry and backsplash in your kitchen. The trend of white cabinetry is still popular and clients are favoring stained cabinets or painted cabinets with darker colors for an island.  If you are going for white cabinetry perhaps on the perimeter, I would suggest a light greige for the walls. “Gossimer Veil” by Sherwin Williams is one of my favorites, along with Edgecomb Grey by Benjamin Moore.

Favorite part about Interior Design:

What I love so much about design is the puzzle of the whole process: determining what the client’s wants are, the feasibility of it, and how to incorporate all of these moving pieces into something harmonious. That’s where the magic happens!

How would you describe your style?

I always want to incorporate a part of the client into every design project that we work on. I’ve worked with many different design styles and I always try to create a clean, sophisticated, interesting palette, but most importantly, a style that reflects our client’s taste.

Favorite Trends of the year:

Terrazzo!! This has been everywhere lately and I am not mad about it. I’ve seen it in tiles, countertops, dinnerware, etc. It is having a moment. When paired with brass fixtures and a deep walnut cabinet, it’s something beautiful.

Where do you get your design inspiration?

I find inspiration through fellow designers!  But also by taking a step back and resetting on the weekends. Sometimes I can be inspired by a particular color that I see while on a hike or at the beach.

What inspires you at the moment?

The types of projects that we have going on right now. They are all so different and each with their own set of challenges, but that is what keeps us going!

What kind of works do you usually prefer?

I am sucker for a good remodel. It’s being able to see the “pretty” within the “not so hot” that I really enjoy.  Kitchen and bath remodels are my favorites!

What do you consider before designing?

I always consider the clients needs, wants and feasibility of the project before we get started. I like to dream big, but want to create a space that is comfortable, safe, functional and within our client’s budget.
